The journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step asserts Ms Sheilah, the talented Kenyan model on her new found experience in modeling.
Here is a brief interview with the humble and simply amazing soul
 1. Hey how would you like to introduce yourself?
1.  I’m Sheilah Mumbo a third year student pursuing environmental resource management at the
technical university of Kenya. She is the kind of person whose confidence is her strength.

 2. What drew your passion and interest or desire to start modeling?
2.  Modeling is something that's can open great avenues for various projects and initiatives.
 I'm passionate about the environment and climate change. Modeling is a great way because one can use the crown and exposure to come up with great initiatives and projects and reach
of to a lot of people.

 3. How long have you been modeling?     
3. I've not been in the industry for long.

4. How has the experience in modeling been for you so far?   
4. It’s a great experience though a tough one but this shapes a person to a better version.
                  
5. Have you been involved in any pageants and showcase/ exhibition recently?
5. Recently I participated in the Mr and Miss Technical University of Kenya 2018.

6. What challenges and opportunities have you come across so far?
6. The biggest challenge is being able to come up with something unique, something creative
 that is completely outstanding .

7. Have you gotten support from friends and family?
7. The biggest motivation comes from family and friends who have been
supportive to me all the way.

 8. How do you juggle between modeling & studies?       
8. It can be hard at times but with a great time management it’s not
that hard setting your time for things that truly matter.

9. Do you reckon the potential for modeling and Kenya has been realized yet? And
if so what can be done to foster the industry?     
 9. Modeling in Kenya is yet to reach the international standards.
Generally speaking though, the industry is slowly growing.
 
10. Which brands do you aspire to work with locally & international internationally?
10. In Kenya I aspire to work with Sally Karagos fashion " made in
Kenya bha Kenyan".  Her fashion brand is a true representation of a
real Kenyan. Internationally, working with brands like Dior and Channel is the

best thing that can happen to me.

 11. What are your other hobbies & interests?
11. I write and apart from that I also play basketball for fun.
Adventure is part of me, am also into voluntary work projects.

12. Where do you   aspire to be in the next 3 years in terms of fashion & modeling?
12. In the next 3 years I aspire to be Miss universe in that year and also have projects
 that stand for climate justice and empowering the youth.
