KENYAN SINGER AND SONG WRITER CINDY CAREN VOWS TO GIVE FANS A MUSIC YEAR

Cindy Caren is a Kenyan singer, song writer on a mission to share her music to her fast growing fanbase and not only entertain but also to inspire the audiences worldwide. We had the opportunity to discover more about on this interview; 

1. Hey how would you like to introduce or rather describe yourself?

1.My name is Cindy Caren Opande my artist name is  Cindy Caren. I was born and raised in Kisumu. I always knew i wanted to sing from a very tender age and my family encouraged me

2. How long have you been doing music professionally?

2.Profesionally i started singing two years ago. My first song is called “Siwezi “

3. What sparked your interest in music or inspired you to get involved with music?

3. I  come  from a very musical family being that we are seventh day adventist so we all used to sing a lot in church. So then on i developed an interest.  

4. Tell us a little about your experience recording your first song?

4. My first song is called “Siwezi “

I had so much fun recording siwezi because it was my first time ever getting inside a studio and it came out amazing. On the day of shooting  the video i felt like  a bride on her wedding day  because  I was the center of attraction for the day. It was also the first day i did  a full face makeover

5. Which producers have you worked with so far?

5. I have worked with various producers including Crazy Monkey, Vickpondis, Ihaji, hamadoo Jegede and the beat killer vince on the beat.

6. What genre of music do you specialize in ?

6. I have always loved African music so i  do Afropop. Though i am very flexible

7. Are you signed to any music label?

7.Currently i am not signed to any label.

8. What is your most latest release?

9. Which artists locally or internationally would you love to work with?

9. In Kenya i would love to work with Nyashinsky and Bien aime of sauti sol.Internationaly Wizkid and Tiwa savage

10. What challenges and opportunities have you encountered in the industry?

10. There  are opportunities in creating and performing but the challenges includes the current global pandemic that makes it difficult for artists like myself to get enough show bookings you know..

12. What are your other interests apart from music?

12. Apart from music i am a journalist by profession, i also love to cook and swimming but nowadays i prefer going to train my daughter at the pool instead
