A NEW SONG TITLED TAKE IT EASY BY MC LIL PIN ADDRESSES MENTAL WELLNESS & DEPRESSION AMONG AFRICAN YOUTH

 Following numerous reports on media, the attention to a rather taboo topic among the African people has been found. Attention and focus on the issue of depression among African youth that has resulted in dire consequences such as death by suicide. With a goal to address this matter, Kenyan recording and performing artist, MC LILIPIN has worked on new music that highlights the plight of young people dealing with various challenges.

MC Lilpin who has worked closely with youth groups in the community sings about the need for the youth to speak up and share about these pressing matters that eventually pile up lot of pressure resulting to depression. There has been the challenge of the affordability of professional therapy services but Mc Lil pin urges the youth to engage one another and also assistance from the elderly in the community for help in tackling the pertinent issues facing them and also giving a supportive system among each other.
