MISS VALENTINE NYERI- ROSELYNE MAINA BELIEVES FIRMLY IN THE POTENTIAL FOR SUCCESS IN KENYAN MODELING & FASHION INDUSTRY

Kenyan model Roselyne Wanini is a firm believer in determination and a go-getter attitude for one to excel. We had the opportunity for an interview with Miss Wanini;

1. Hey how would you like to introduce yourself?

1. I'm Roselyne Maina, 22years old,born in Nyeri county but currently based in Nairobi. Am a freelance model, currently the reigning Miss Valentine's Nyeri county .

2. When did you discover your passion for modeling?

2.I discovered my passion for modelling quite at a tender age,I could watch the Tyra banks shows on TV & practice her moves..I wanted to be like her one day.

3. It's presumably hard to juggle between school and modeling, how do you balance the two?

3.I give much attention to my schooling on weekdays & get back to working on my modelling career on weekends.... it's just a matter of planning.

4. Who are some of the people you look up to for inspiration locally and globally that have influenced you ?

4.Locally I look up to Miss Universe 2018,Wabaiya. She advocates for depression & that's one thing I love about her... Globally Tyra banks,I love her go getter attitude never giving up. She's now a top model in LA...

5. Instagram and other social media has created opportunities for more youth to develop their talent , do you reckon sometime the instagram models overdo it?(posting)

5.I wouldn't say they over do it since every model out there has freedom to showcase what they got.

6. What lessons have you learnt so far and how has your experience been ?

6. I've had an amazing experience, meeting new people who challenge me & I learn from them as well.My biggest lesson would be in order for one to have the good days bad days have to be present too.

7. What are your other interests apart from modeling?

7. I swim a lot,read novels(fiction novels)& traveling & meeting new people is my thing.

8. What do you reckon can be done to improve the modeling and fashion sector in Kenya?

8. I believe if the modelling & fashion industries would have managers who aren't money oriented but focused on building up talents, then it could be a safe place for us models & fashion lovers.

9.Whats your advice to young girls that hope to pursue modeling?

9.Always hold their heads high & believe in themselves that they got this.
