Wavinya Williams; the talented East African artist ready to put Africa on the map with her unique Afro-fusion music!

Kenyan recording and performing artist, Wavinya Williams has experienced tremendous growth in her musical career in the last 3 years. The talented East African artist  was born on 13^th of October, 1993 in Nairobi Kenya and raised  along with her loving extended family who showed love and support for her musical talent since the start when she realized her interest and passion in music.

Her early childhood was a vibrant and infused with passion for art as she grew up in Athi-River area . She had the most amazing, memorable life when I was a toddler growing up listening to the new era 90’s music in her childhood.

Wavinya attended Machakos Girls High school ,  her musical gift began to show and flourish as she interacted with other talented young singers in school who inspired her to start writing her music amongst a group of hard working competitors and bright students with high discipline level. She attended other co-curricular activities such as playing hockey and remembers retrospectively the joy she had when her team played the national school team.

She joined United States International university where she is currently studying  international relations majoring in Diplomacy.

Wavinya started appreciating her gift of music in mid 2013 but indulged in professionally from 2017 where she worked on her first collaboration titled “Pole pole” with Raj the African-pop/RNB singer WATCH pole pole by Wavinya

She has received great reception of her music and support from family, friends and her growing music fanbase not only in Kenya but regionally as well she aspires for greater heights and asserts that this is just the beginning.

Her influences in music include Victoria Kimani,  an American-born Kenyan singer, songwriter, actress and entertainer whose music  penetration into the African music industry has earned her a number of nominations.

Wavinya aspires to make her unique afro-beat and fusion sound resonate with all music lovers across Africa and globally and has been actively recording music for her upcoming album which will definitely rock the African entertainment industry! Listen to PEMPI LOVE by Wavinya
