TALENTED AFRICAN POET- CARDIAC POET NOMINATED FOR SONDEKA AWARDS, 2019


Cardiac is an outgoing poet seeking to change the world one word at a time. He is self driven and a ball of positive energy pleasant to be around. He is currently pursuing a bachelor of arts in literature and performing arts in the University of Nairobi, Kenya.

The talented African poet has been featured twice on KTN life and style, Destiny TV and once on signs Tv. Cardiac has also been interviewed on Citizen TV 10/10. He counts himself lucky to also have been hosted on Baraka fm and Radio mtaani.  With consistency, the talented poet has released 10 videos in a span of one year. He won the Unga wa dola art for peace 2017, was ranked 6th in East Africa poetic Hour battle held in Kisumu this April and recently won the International Mask awards that saw my video emerge best among 2000 submitted entries from Kenya Uganda Mauritius Congo and Tanzania.


On the winning spree the prolific composer was voted second in the Nairobi Music Awards under the category Talent to watch of the year. He was Nominated in three categories in the Kenya Coast Music Awards. He was Nominated as Male Artist of the year, Most promising artist and Video of the year where My Video (Okoa University) was voted best. At the fall of 2018 he was awarded by the United Nations women a trophy as a speaker following my piece on Gender based violence. He am currently nominated in the ongoing Sondeka Awards under poetry and spoken word.
