Overcoming self doubt & realizing your valuable contribution in life.

Self doubt is simply defined as the lack of confidence in oneself and one's abilities. The consequence of self doubt, is undoubtedly very far reaching and reflected on the productivity levels of an individual and his or her relations with the world around him or her. Self doubt is closely interlinked with low self esteem and perception of self.
Self-esteem can be defined as someone who has a decent opinion of self without grandiosity. One who sees self as a good person, hard working, reliable, honest, friendly, and able to like and love him or herself for who they are. This does not mean that self-doubt will never crop up.
The of the most eminent problems in society with different individuals today are: (1) the inability to give oneself credit, and (2) sometimes feeling like an imposter. I think these issues are caused from the self-doubt.

Self-doubt can be a troubling and persuasive voice that holds you back. It holds you back from seizing your opportunities.It makes getting started or finishing things harder than they need to be.
Sure, it can sometimes be useful as it helps you to soberly see your current limitations or simply recognize a half-baked or bad idea. But mostly, it holds you back in life.
To overcome self-doubt requires affirmative action while being attentive to the inner critic — that is, you take action in spite of the doubt.

Here are a few tips on overcoming self doubt:
1. Stop comparing your accomplishment to that of others like friends and family or colleagues; comparison is the thief of joy
2.Stop focusing on what others say or might think about you or your plans, strategy or action and focus on a more wholistic living that enriches you through hapiness.
3.Make a decision and follow through with action and correct any deviations from the hallmark along the way.You will realise your action matters and the universe gives you a backing on your thought and actions towards a more fullfiling life.
4.listen to or read positive messages and draw away from negative messages or doctrines about life. What you hear, see or read has the power to impact you strongly in the positive or the negative, choose wisely.
5. Celebrate small accomplishments, it boosts your morale and confidence in self.
