The Multi-talented poet, recording and performing artist,
Marylyn Neemoh, popularly known by her stage name as Eagle Queen started her
musical journey three years ago and has been persistently exploring her sound
in depth. Drawing inspiration from musical legends on the continent and beyond,
Eagle Queen aspires to create a unique sound laced with longevity; music with a
difference on the listeners years.
Gradually, Eagle Queen has explored multiple facet of her
talents like rap, writing and singing and has recorded three great tracks; Memory Verse, Mali Ngumu, as she gears
up to studio recording of her debut not yet titled album she asserts should be
released before the end of the year.
Eagle queen has her sight set higher for industry
collaborations with mainstream industry greats like Khaligraph, Nasty c, Wolf
Xx, Oz, Femi, Wangechi, Phy ,Olamide, MI among others on the continent. Her
distinct style comes off as bold as she don’t shy tackling issues on her
meticulous lyrics and impeccable flow on the rap songs, her vocal skills are
also to reckon.
The sky is not the limit for Eagle Queen whose other
passions range from fashion design to film as she is currently engaged with
film studies at the university. She is also a seasoned script writer having
also directed a few plays locally. Focusing her energy on all these art related
domains has kept her creative edge quite sharp in all things, music art and
design.
