1.Who is DJ Phil King?

1.dj Phil king is a young and ambitious upcoming Dj

2.When did you realise you had the passion for deejaying?

2.it was in 2010 when i first touched and computer and the thing that
attracted me was the virtual dj icon on the desktop....and with the
help of my brother he opened the software for and gave me the keyboard
to operate i just did my thing and it worked from that day i woke up
early in the morning just to get a chance to play with the
software....thats wjen i realised i can be a dj,from that day that was
my dream
3. What really sparked your interest in deejaying?

3.having the power to make people happy through music they like

4. How was your training in the craft of deejaying?

4.my training was great because i got a chance to be trained by a
relative of mine who was a dj so i had a humble time and learned
everything perfectly

5. Whom do you look up to for motivation & inspiration?

5.there are alot of dj`s i look upto but so far sammi flinch is the dj
i look upto locally and dj maphorisa internationally....

6. What challenges have you faced breaking through into the industry?

6.mmmmh the biggest challenge is that the biggest dj`s wont give a
platform without you paying or joining their label

7. What's is your most preffered genre of music?

7.afro pop is the best genre for me

8. Do you think Kenyan deejays are doing enough in promoting Kenyan
 locally and internationally?

8. actually  the answer would be yes and no because some deejays play
local music and others are promoting international rather than the
local songs
9. Where do aspire to be career wise in the next three years?

9.i would to be a reknown dj countrywide and have my entertainment  company
10. What should be done to grow the music industry in kenya from your
perspective as a dj?

10. Through supporting the upcoming musician and producers because inthe next few years they are the one who will be giving us music to

play
11. Do you believe releasing street mixes impacts a DJ's brand significantly?

11.yeah people know you from your mixtapes and thats what gets you up

13. I would advice them to mainly focus on what drives them to this
kind of career and mostly not to let pride get in they way
