IS TIKTOK DRIVING CREATIVITY OR KILLING CREATIVITY AMONG THE YOUTH?

 Since the advent of social media platforms, the way people show their creativity has changed. With the popularity of social media platforms that foster micro-entertainment like Tiktok, Instagram and others, with a limited time actually a matter of only a few seconds, many users on Tiktok often result to creating rushed and plagiarized content often my connecting videos that may not be fully authorized by the originators or creators of such.



With a ranging debate about intellectual property getting to the mainstream, sometimes because of the clout chasing, the matter of content ownership or authorization before posting is over looked. In the short term however, it might not seem like a problem but eventually it might result to the death of creativity if any such perspective should be under consideration by those of Tiktok and the rest of the fast growing social media and sharing platforms around the world.
