Meet Mapozi Classic; the fast rising Kenyan music duo with big plans!

Mapozi Classic is a fast rising Kenyan music duo. They recently released their latest song Secreto.
We had the opportunity for an interview with them, check it out;

1.      Hey! How would you like to introduce or describe yourself?

Q 1. Yes. Mapozi Classic is a Kenyan Music Duo Group consisting Treva James and Daniel Ogolla both born and raised in Busia but based in Nairobi. We both lie btn 20-24yrs.We probably the youngest duo in East Africa.

2.      When did you discover your passion for music?

Q2. Music is an art, it’s a talent .We discovered back then in when in highschool but never took it serious at that level ,due to balancing of learning and art.

3.      When did you start doing music professionally as a group?

Q3.Hehe not too long.We have been in this field professionally forexactly 2years now.

4.      What are some of your highlights in the industry so far?

Q4.Talking of highlight,we so greatful. Being  so young in the game needs more hard work and prayers.We have been able to be in so many platforms which aren’t so easy.Hosted  in some counties such as Busia,Homabay,Mombasa and Kisumu for shows.We have been able to be hosted in  radio and TV  stations such as Hot96,Radio citizen ,citizen T v and many more.We have also been nominated in Kenyan awards though that’s not our aim for now  and it can’t define our potential.

5.      Which artists do you aspire to work with in future?

Q5.We have so many artists doing good and really wish to work with them. Willy Paul ,Khaligraph Jones ,Otile Brown ,Arrow Bwoy, Masauti and      many more .We also have underground artists who are doing good too.

6.      Tell us about your very first song?

Q6.Hehe we all have a place to start. Our first song released was called Niambie ,The concept was to educate us about our current relationships ,where we encounter so many challenges whether financially and economically .We thank God and our fans  for this far anyway.

7.      What would be your advice to young kids aspiring to pursue music?

Q7.We thank God for his grace .The fear of God, Discipline, and hardwork are the keys of prosperity. It’s simple as that.

8. Who are some of the artists you have worked with and producers?

Q8. We have worked with different good producers and artist and they are doing good too.We have worked with producers such as  Mk On The Beat ,AlexisOnTheBeat ,Vicky PonDis and many more.

9. What can fans expect from you this year?

Q9.This year we assure great things coming their way.  Ofcoures more singles this year but we also have Kenyan and East African collaborations. They should just keep supporting their boys Mapozi Classic

10. What are your other interests apart from music?

Q10.We do study. Treva takes Graphics Design while Daniel Ogolla 3D Animations.
