Tracy Nthenya; Miss environment Machakos county is confident about her aspiration to succeed in the modeling industry and career transition into an air hostess

Meet Miss Tracy Nthenya, current Miss environment Machakos county, is an ardent believer in optimism and asserts that challenges pave way for opportunities. The aspiring Air hostess shares her aspirations;

1. Hey, how would you like to introduce yourself?

1.My name is Tracy Nthenya, am  23 years old, a Kenyan model

and the current Miss environment Machakos county.   

 2. When did you realize your passion for modeling?     

2. I realized i had so much passion for modeling career since i was in
highschool ,during talent shows would admire the modeling activities
though I was a bit shy and laid back.

3. What pageants have you participated in so far?         

3. I have participated in one which is Miss environment Machakos county

 And luckily enough I won.

4. How has your experience been in modeling?                         

 4. It’s been around a year now and it has been great.

 5. What opportunities and challenges have you come across?

 5. I have had opportunities like networking with different organizations
(government and also N.G.O’s) in activities involving the society.
 Likewise, I have faced challenges for instance, before I got crowned it was

 difficult to get legit agencies that would promote my modeling talent ,

also lack of good pay when one goes for gigs where organizers claim they just giving you a platform.
Another challenge is modeling career is recognized as 'fun job' so most people don’t take it serious and one ends up giving up because there is no support either through advice or encouragement in anyway.

 6. What popular Kenyan and international brands do you aspire to work with in future?             

 6.Well, I love African attire and also suits brands so getting opportunity to work with

 bespoke luxury suits and Sally karago of Mcensal fashion school, internationally would

love to work with famous Coco Chanel brand. 

    

7. What are your other interests apart from modeling?   

7. Apart from modeling I love travelling, artwork, watching reality shows, reading educative
materials.

8. Do you reckon the potential in the modeling industry in Kenya has been realized yet?

8. Well, compared to like years back ,modeling has kind of improved though  in other

sectors not yet because u find that been an upcoming you might need connections and

 legit agencies to work with and its very difficult to find those 2 aspects.     

9. Where do you aspire to be career wise in the next 3years?

 9.I aspire to be brand ambassador of top modeling agencies in Africa.
Be a successful decent video model and also be an Air hostess of top global airlines.
